What the Mac app collects
To decide whether a minute is eligible and to credit it to the right account, the app sends: a device identifier and hardware-bound public key, the device name and model, macOS and app versions, locale and time zone, and the eligibility signals listed below, sampled every five seconds while a sponsor is showing.
- Whether the display is awake and the session is unlocked.
- Seconds since the last keyboard or mouse input. The input itself is never read.
- Whether the Dock is visible and whether a full-screen app is hiding it.
- Whether the sponsor tile process is running.
- Whether you clicked the tile. Nothing about what you did afterward.
What the Mac app never collects
- Screenshots, screen recordings, or anything shown on screen.
- Names of apps you use, window titles, files, or browsing history.
- Keystrokes or mouse movements.
The app requests no Accessibility, Screen Recording, or Input Monitoring permission, and it is not able to gather any of the above without them.
Payments
Whop handles new advertiser payments and user payout onboarding, including identity and tax information. Previously issued checkout links may still be processed by Stripe during the transition. DockSponsor stores payment-provider identifiers and payment status, not card or bank details.
